In the existing situation is located on the land of Schoonoord Warmond, the nursery 'The Woezel', this has led us to give the name of the Woezel - house.

The Woezel consists of a series of small scale housing units which have been designed to be accessible in price, economic in use and sustainable in maintenance.

On the urban scale, existing pedestrian connections are maintained and parking is allocated away from the south facing garden spaces. Existing trees on the site are kept to maintain a green and established context.

The spatial program is flexible, open and attractive to modern young families, containing naturally lit split level organisation where rather than segregated spaces, volumes flow and intersect into one another. The transitional landing spaces in between these levels are extended to become active play areas for children rather than simple circulation space.
